Under the CCPA, as expanded by the CPRA, and similar laws in other states, California residents (and residents of some other states) can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including data shared with advertising partners for behavioral advertising purposes.
Why This Applies to Helyvo
Like most ad- and affiliate-supported sites, we work with partners who may receive identifiers such as cookie IDs or IP addresses to serve relevant ads and track affiliate conversions. Under CCPA/CPRA, this can count as a “sale” or “sharing,” even without a direct payment for your data.
How to Opt Out
- Adjust cookie settings through our consent banner, where shown, to disable advertising/analytics cookies;
- Email admin@helyvo.com with subject line “CCPA Opt-Out Request,” including your name and, if applicable, the email associated with your activity on the Site;
- Use a recognized opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, where our systems support it.
Verifying Requests
We may need to confirm your identity before processing a request. Exercising these rights won’t result in different treatment.
Authorized Agents
Someone else may submit a request on your behalf, with proof of authorization and identity verification.
